Single LCD Monitor Desktop Arm Mount, Deluxe Gas Spring Model (Black)

I needed a monitor mount that would work with the desk I already owned, so having both clamp and grommet mounting options was helpful. I chose the clamp because I wanted to avoid drilling a hole in the desktop. The detachable VESA plate also made attaching the monitor more manageable. I can tilt the display when overhead lighting creates glare and adjust its direction when I need to show someone something on screen. It gave me more control over my setup without requiring a complete desk upgrade.

Actual arm more closely matches the version I previously bought several times before - which thankfully does not match the pictures. Mounting base actually has vertical post to which the arm can slide up-down for additional height adjustment. Design is similar to dual arm unit.

One of the onling pictures (rear monitor view) shows the actual arm. The dimensioned drawing is partially correct - shows the vertical post but the wrong arm extension. :-(

FYI, the previous version had a more robust base with two larger clamping screws. Maybe ir was overkill but I’ve never had to retighten them - rock solid.

Conclusion - what you get is better than what you see and for the best price you will find anywhere. You won’t have any regrets - I certainly don’t. [Although I do wish they would correct the pictures :-)]

The gas-spring arm has been especially useful because I change my monitor position several times during the day. I can pull the screen closer when I’m concentrating and move it back when I need more desk space. The ability to rotate the display has also been useful when showing something to someone sitting beside me. Jonny was excellent when I contacted support before purchasing and helped me make sure I was choosing the right mount. The customer service was one of the reasons I felt comfortable ordering from AnthroDesk!

I purchased this for a monitor that I frequently turn toward different parts of my office. The ability to rotate the screen has been especially useful when someone else needs to see what I'm working on. I also appreciate being able to switch between landscape and portrait orientation without changing the desk setup. Installation was fairly straightforward once I had the mounting location figured out. Jonny answered a couple of questions I had before ordering and was very easy to deal with.

Repositioning my screen is smooth and effortless thanks to the gas spring mechanism. It reclaimed a huge block of desk real estate that used to be taken up by the stock monitor base.
