    How do I install an AnthroDesk tabletop?

    Please note our desk table tops do not have pre-drilled holes. This allows for custom positioning of the top on the frame and the addition of accessories like CPU holders, etc. As such, a drill will be needed to install the tabletop. After you position the top on the standing desk frame (normally centred), use the wood screws included to attach the desktop to all four corners. Some standing desk models will also have brackets on the central crossbar that can be used for additional support (optional).

    Please note that the installation instructions above are only applicable to AnthroDesk tabletops purchased from our website. Other table tops may be used, but installation instructions may vary.


    What type of shoes should I wear with a standing desk?

    We have seen people wear all types of shoes, however, ideally, you should wear shoes that have little or no heel and are naturally comfortable with little pressure on any part of the foot. If you are not used to standing for prolonged periods, we also recommend an anti-fatigue mat such as this one, which can be used with or without shoes (which may be the best option of all!)


    Is the desk difficult to assemble?

    No! Most people assemble the desks in under an hour (and handyman types can typically assemble the frame in less than 30 minutes). The best time we've heard for assembling the Manual Crank Standing Desk was 20 minutes - let us know if you did it in less time!

    How do I install the tabletop/desktop?

    After you position the top on the standing desk frame (our default recommendation is to centre it on the frame), use the wood screws to attach the desktop to all four corners. Some adjustable desk frames will also have brackets on the central crossbar that can be used for additional support (optional).

    Best Value Sit/Stand Desk

    I chose this desk after running into supply issues with Ikea’s cheaper sit/stand option, and I’m glad I did — supporting a Canadian company feels great, and the quality shows.
    After 7 months of daily use, with about 120 lbs loaded on it (100 lbs toward the back and 20 lbs at the front), the desk remains solid with no signs of wear or strain. For the price, it’s easily the best sit/stand solution I’ve found.

    Very sturdy desk with smooth crank system

    This desk arrived extremely well packaged and in perfect condition. It feels very sturdy, and the manual crank system works smoothly and reliably.

    I love being able to switch between sitting and standing throughout the day. It’s already helping reduce the back discomfort I get from long hours at the computer. Highly recommend this desk system to anyone looking for a solid sit-stand solution.

    The desk arrived on time and is well-built and very sturdy.

    The only thing I didn't like is that there are only six holes to attach the top of the desk to its base. It would feel better if there were more holes in the middle for extra security. Overall, these desk legs are a great deal at a really good price.

    Really good desk-frame, and even better company

    I looked at various height-adjustable desks, and finally settled on this one. But there is one thing that strongly overrides these hassles: this is a company that stands 100% behind their product. I contacted them by support email about the crank issue and got an immediate response and followup phone-calls and personalized youtube videos, and the problem was solved quickly.
